Thief

It's a good game. A straight port from Quest with no graphic options, but the graphic design is well done and it has some very pretty graphics. The NPCs are very cartoony though and all the guards have the same face.
As a game it's very 'Thief' but is let down on the audio department as it doesn't have the atmospheric background tracks of the original, and doesn't appear to have much if any in the way of reverb. I think it could also do with the original footstep sounds.

The voice acting is very good, and the story seems intriguing.

I'd say this is a good Quest game, and while the PC version is a straight port, it does benefit from the locked framerate and higher resolution.
 
Picked it up yesterday after seeing mostly positive vibes from the reviews. The launch trailer looked descent too, and i like to support Vertigo Games.

Graphically, i think the colour tones and the bloomed rounded edges make for it, but it's good to hear they're looking again at the PC.
 
If you haven't picked it up yet, I'd say wait for a decent patch. The lighting in some areas is so ridiculously dark that you can't see anything. There's stealth, and then there's design decisions that make you wonder how it go through testing.
Saying that, I've only played through the first level so far (well, opening tutorial level and first main level), but it needs some issues working out, not to mention the AI which is just broken at times.
Seen quite a few complaints of checkpoints not reloading correctly for some people as well.

It gets a lot right, but other bits it just fails at. The parrying mechanic with the guards is silly. In the original Thief if a guard was alerted you couldn't knock them out. This makes it too easy if you get spotted, and it's a very stilted combat mechanic.

The Thief Vision should have been usable to work out things like guard patrol paths like the Focus in Horizon Zero Dawn.

It's a good effort but you wonder what could have been achieved with a bigger budget and a longer development time.

Still it's a mostly good Thief game in VR. I hope it does well and gets some needed patches.
