Thieving scrotes No.2

well all i can say is, if oil keeps going up and wee petrol over the £1 mark for long periods of time. This will be a common site tbh.

Sorry for your bad luck m8, you should also consider the un-expected e.g. your car may have been targeted before your neighbour & you've been driving around with a rusty hook hanging out of your petrol tank. Only realising this when they called the police & inspecting your own car thereafter.

Makes you wonder if the person responsible put the hook back in so they can siphon you on a regular basis otherwise why bother blocking the tank back up? They probably keep an address book of where to get fuel at which addresses.

Sneaky old buggers! :D

Thats blackburn for ya :(

When i was at school id heard of breaking side indicaters to kill the alarm not that i tried it was just school talk, doubt it would work on modern cars though or even older ones
Does work, especially on a certain high performance japanese car.
Blows the fuse to the alarm (alarm flashes the indicators so they are linked)

That is incredible! A simple low amp fuse on the indicator line would cure this problem, not that it should exist anyway.

Do you have to bring that into every single thread you post in? It's getting a little tiresome tbqh. No doubt this is just the work of ****** who would nick the diesel no matter what the price.

What does the topline mean? Date of liability?

The police came up this afternoon to take the hook away for dna testing :( Why they couldnt have done this yesterday before anybody touched it, is beyond me  The reason he gave was because of the number of cars involved, if it had just been the two of us, as origionaly thought, they wouldnt have taken things further.

He also reckons it's a *****, stealing diesal for their vans and geni's.

Hi there

Anyone thinking what I am?

Is it possible this guy in the Nissan 300 Fairlady, stole what he thought was petrol and as such ended up putting diesel in his petrol car. Which possibly resulted in it not starting to easy?

I know if you put petrol in a diesel it pretty much wrecks them or they just cut out won't start so am assuming its possibly similar if you put diesel in a petrol?

Anyway if thats the case will teach the loser not to steal from others.

Its a shame the world is coming to this. I never forget watching robocop all those years ago where the car has something in it that electrocutes and kills car thieves. If such things existed I would certainly consider getting one especially one that also electrofied the outer shell of the car so anyone even touching the car got a nasty shock. People need to learn if its not theirs to keep there thieving grubby hands off. Thieves should have their hands cut off, only way to stop them in my oppinion.

Found out tonight my mates tranny had also been done, £40 worth of diesal, approx £1000 pound in tools in the back untouched. Have to say, contrary to a couple of my posts in this thread, the police have been really good. Got another update tonight on the whole thing. They managed to get into the boot of the nissan and found nothing, they know who the guy is and he's not from manchester as initially posted. He is in fact from bolton (20mins from my house) but he's wanted by the manchester CID for other offences, they wouldn't say what, just that he's wanted.

Anyhow, it would also appear that gibbo is onto something, the police think he was after frying bigger fish, ie:The freelander, hence the sniping of the indicator wires. They found diesal on and around the fuel flap on the nissan and think the guy in question has made a big booboo as gibbo suggested :p I still cant work out why he's done the 4 tanks in total though

Another thing i cant work out is, i saw the car and the tax disk diplayed 9/07 but the information that tom|Nbk posted (thanks for that btw) contradicts this ?? Does this mean that it's nicked aswell? Hope they catch this asshat, I know i wont receive anything in monetary terms, but it will make me feel better :D I dont get that many days off work in the year, but he completely ballsed yesterdays right up.
