'Not bought in' is an excellent addition to the forum. Bought in, not so much. That said, if people need to chub up their epeens on the forum who am I to judge.

They are a bit annoying with the same old people posting crap, Oh look mrk has bought a new watch strap, Cosimo has bought another book on Space and a tablet.

A.N.Other has bought a solid state drive!!!

Bores the **** off me but having said that there have been a few gems and I've thought mmmm that's cool and then gone and bought something similar but in general they're ****.

mrk can have his own 'really boring things I've just purchased and then spent more time taking pictures of the items compared to time spent using the items' thread :p.

I've often seen things in them that have been interesting or bargainous, so I would like them to remain. Having said that, perhaps it'd be better to have an all-encompassing thread rather than a new one each month.

The first part I agree with but I think monthly threads are good as it's easier to search for things, remember who bought what etc.

It makes me sad when there no people showing me how good their crap is. Its usually good enough to be shown on the internet, sometimes it isn't.

I got new shoes, didnt think it was worth posting.
If someone got a new optimus prime vs stegosaurus lights and sounds playset, then its definitely worth posting.

I like them, it's interesting to see what people have been buying and some discussion usually arises from it. What I don't like is the idiots who have to be first (same guy every month who craves attention) and the 2 pages of arguments that ensue.

Should we ban them?

I thought I was the only one that hated them. In fairness, that's enough to ban them but I've had enough of being labelled a Nazi for the past few months so I let them slide.

Your opinion counts!

Kind of.

If you don't like them don't read them?

When they first appeared I thought it was a really good idea - people would post pictures of interesting things they'd bought. Perhaps an odd musical instrument or an obscure CD or something - something that was a talking point.

Then it descended into the same people posting pretty much everything they ever bought. Wow an SD card. Exciting. Oh you went to Starbucks and bought some coffee? Great. Thanks for sharing. Wow is that a pair of Levi jeans? etc etc.

There seems to be a lack of Pancake in the polls :(

In all seriousness though, the threads don't really bother me as I just ignore them.
