I'd like a Megathread, and voted as such. I don't think I've ever posted in one of the threads, but I do venture in them every now and again to have a look inside.

Have one big thread...yes that makes sense, as only one thread is usually ever viewable at any one time anyways as when one month end it drops off very quickly..what a difference that will make to the poor soft minds that stay awake, you'll still see a thread of similar title on the front page.

Its embarrassing this is what its came to on forums.

Would some people REALLY be that more comfortable with one thread with a similar title..will rewording it somehow magically mean they wont feel annoyed or compelled to not click on it?

I don't see why they need banning.

People like posting in them, and they're often interesting to browse. I'd say it's become more of a hit if anything...

I prefer the idea of monthly threads.

Leave it as it is, but if anymore of the OP's start it without uploading a purchase of their own, then ban them.

Single thread of things bought that month and get a mod to edit the title on the 1st of each month.

If there's going to be one thread can we please ban people from posting food, especially stupid stuff like Mcdonalds and Snacks,

If you've bought something that is food, post it in the now eating thread in the food forum and if you've purchased something that isn't crap like Mcdonalds there are other threads in the food forum like Foodie Purchases etc.

Personally though I couldn't care if there is one mega thread or one per month, I also couldn't care who starts it so long as they've actually bought something that isn't going to be eaten in the next 5 minutes.

If you get rid of the annoying thing about being the person to start the thread first then they are great, so one thread!

I don't really care what people have bought in a certain month but I also don't care what they've bought at all.

I'd much prefer that the threads became poster elimination rounds whereby the person who bought the crappest thing just got banned.

I don't get the hate for the thread

I also don't get the "must be first to start the thread"

If you don't like it, don't go in there - it's not like you don't know what's gonna be in there

Voted one big thread - I like browsing to see what others are buying and copying them if needs be :D

If one thread a month (12 a year) really grinds your gears that much then it's kinda sad really. Sure, the mods may have to read it but everyone else can just self-manage their distaste by not reading it.

Personally I would like to see far more moderation done on the diatribe and intolerance spouted so often on these forums. Move along, there really is nothing to see here *yawn*

This is dumb as hell to have a vote on.

So what if you don't like it? A lot of people do - leave them be, or change them to a yearly thread or something like that.

I don't understand how people get "jelly" or "enraged" over what other people have bought. I find it nice to see things in the flesh rather than the old online reviews where someones nose is buried so deep in the reviewed party's back orifice because of money and free stuff. I can then decide to save for something or wait for it to drop in price.

I think they're more contributing that the inane flood of stupid joke or fictional story telling threads that pop up now a days. People just love flogging the dead horse until there's nothing but horse shoes left.

Trying to shift the blame onto a poll so you can ban a thread type you don't like... smooth ;)

Members can just skip over threads they don't want to read, so surely our opinion is irrelevant?

(apologies if this post results in them being banned... I like them!)

"Change it to one 'stuff bought recently' thread" please!

It's fairly interesting to wonder in every now and then (like the random image thread) but it is ridiculous having one each month and people racing to be the 'first'.

As always gets said in threads asking to ban things. You don't have to read them. no one is forcing you. Just ignore it and get on with your life.
