Things that get on your goat about people on MSN!!!

While im more of a teamspeak man than msn, what really ticks me off is when someone signs on their mates account and starts sending you abuse.

im hardly ever online with msn anymore.

when i talk to people i talk to them at work or at college.

i find msn just gets in the way.. like if im ever busy on the pc.. which i will be otherwise i wont be on the pc.. i will get distracted by someone saying how are you...

so its pointless.

EDIT: MY BIGGEST DISTRACTION IS OCUK

Well I use MSN a lot as well, practically everyone I know is on it. Heres my pet hates:

1: One word replys that dont and anything to the conversation. The worst offenders being "lol" "KK" and "Okies".

2: When people don't reply for ages, its rude and not hard to say BRB.

3: To many custom emotes.

4: People who just log off without saying bye i.e in the middle of a conversation.

MSN just annoys me in general. i deleted 70 of my contacts yesterday because no-one ever has anything interesting to say on there. i mostly set offline all the time and come online if there's someone there i want to talk to. i can't believe i used to spend entire evenings sat in, just typing at people about inane crap.
This is why I've only had about 3 emails and nothing else off you in the past month then...

MSN doesn't really annoy me, people who type like kids do, but just avoid speaking to kids and you're ok.

I'll have to point accusingly at Carzy though I'm afraid, who although a good bloke, converses much like this:

hey
how
are
you
doing
have
you
checked
out
such
and
such
a
new
band
they're
awesome
lmfao

and of course if the chat window isn't max'd then you get an annoying 'ding' each time he enters a word.

(sorry mate...;))

"hi"
"howz u"
"*** u been up 2?"
"wanna tlk about nefing?"

errr.... you just opened up the convo, why bother?

when i'm not busy, that means i should be studying...so i'm rarely on MSN. in my defence, i've not ignored anything you've sent me that required a reply...and i texted you the other day!!! :p

also, agreed on Carzy - bloody pain in the arse to talk to on MSN :p

Only 3 people on my msn list actually talk to me at all, i'm always on there but its in the background never really use it.
It annoys me when people talk in pictures argg.

Only thing that bugs me are people who change their bloody name to lyrics or just randomness I can never tell whos bloody who! :(

I hate that 'ding'! Drives me insane (so have to turn it off ;))

It makes me laugh when people ask me if I have it at work - I wouldn't get any work done!!!

Single thing that annoys me most?

People who haven't spoken to me in ages popping up and acting all pally, and then five minutes later revealing their ulterior motive. CHRIST. I don't mind doing favours for people, but don't pretend like we're suddenly bestest buddies first. Get to the damn point!

People who send you a message, but have nothing to say, e.g.

them= 'lo
me = Hey, how are you? Haven't heard from you in ages
then = not to bad
me = So what have you been up to?
them = not much
me = I got a new job
them = nice

what's the point on sending me a message if you can't be bothered to talk! arrrrgggghhhh!

/me feels hes been deleted.

i hate really bad text talk on MSN and all the 3rd party emoticons.

the basic ones are fine, dont really bother me but all the other rubbish does. And with text talk a little bit is fine, like "**" and stuff, but when people say stuff like

"hey dude u c *** luke did @ wrk. go lk at his desk at wrk ***."

not the best example, but stuff like that ^^

I only hate the fact that a girl I used to know at uni uses it to boast about her latest conquest, complain about how her bf is being nasty to her or going on about how much she loves xxxx then a day later how much she hates xxxx. "Oh I still have feelings for yyyy." "I miss you." "I wish we'd got together, you wouldn't have treated me this way"....... blah blah blah.

Seriously love, I don't care... STOP TALKING!!!

To be fair I could just block her :o

i dont mind as long as they keep the first part the same..

i always have

McDan1el - some random name here

Lets put it this way, if your so lucky to be added to my msn list then for FFS talk and make some effort etc. I do and i always get the ignored....so beware do that to me and ill block and delete your ass faster than you can say hasta la vista.

Some people on here who have been lucky enough to be added to my list....are now blocked and deleted...havent got time for rude impolite people :p

I do hate text speak as well, im not 15..wish i was but i aint and i cant be bothered to read their utter crap. Some icons annoy me as well but i dont mind them too much.

Tbh i dont really use msn that much anymore, even at work i hardly sign in...but at home im signed in but offline. Only come on if i see someone that i want to speak to. Sadly most of my contacts are all us/canada based now, deleted all my uk contacts.

Hmmm... I find the emoticons in places of letters really annoying - my top pet peeve. Also too many emoticons and ascii characters in the person's nickname annoys me. For example for James someone would write J4me$ and all that stuff :p

About contacts themselves, I've had only a few people abuse me online (or use other's accounts). I've had to block them and delete them.

However, most of the people I have now are friends and family. And there are some people whom I've never met, but know how to carry a conversation. I don't mind with the annoyances from friends and family though.

I do like MSN cos it allows you to say things, but have a chance for looking at what you'll say before u send it.
