Things that used to exist and now don't...

Birds Ice Magic (Ice Cream Topping, 80's)

And one I can't remember the name of, it was a desert from the early 90's - like a custard type thing you microwaved and had a separate sachet of crunch topping. Anyone remember the name?

Ice Magic wasn't it? It was great so long as you shook the bottle hard first otherwise you got all that horrible clear solidifying agent come out on its own.

I think treat have brought something like that out. I was in asda the other day looking at ice cream sauces and I remember one of the bottles saying something about the sauce going hard on the ice cream.

A tube of fruit sweets entitled "RADS" which appeared briefly in the mid 80's. Hard fruit case with soft sour syrup centre. A summary search suggests I've imagined this entity as I can find no reference to them whatsoever!

C & A are still operating on the continent, there was one in Brugge when we went in November

There was one in Paris when I was there a while back, my GF dragged me in there. :(

I remember a chocolate bar called a "LOGGER" in the early 80's, they were lovely despite the slightly comical name. :)

The clown test screen on bbc when nothing was being broadcast when I got up as a kid in the morning!!

It's still there on the BBC HD channel on a loop with other stuff when nothing is being broadcast.

Turbo buttons on PC cases.

Those cheap polystyrene aeroplanes you could get painted to look like spitfires with little plastic propellers you stuck on the front.

I've never seen green tomato sauce before. Must have missed that one. :)

Heinz did it as a limited edition product many moons ago. It was bizarre. I think everyone expected it to taste different because of the colour but it was exactly the same. I know people who wouldn't eat it just because of the colour. It was amazing though.

Being able to join an AOL chat room as an adult and make small talk with the children there, pretending to also be a child. Boy, some of them had potty mouths but we fixed that, didn't we Mr Stick? Yes, we fixed those potty mouths.

Also Chewits.
