Things to buy in Thailand..... (and general prices)

Firstly I don’t need a Thai bride thanks!

I'm off to Thailand around the end of Jane and was wondering whats good to buy out there (cheap and cool). I aware of the usual clothes and that sort of tat, but any info on prices or best places to buy that sort of thing would be good I guess. The main item I was thinking of buying was a new Digital Camera for pics on holiday, just wondering what sort of savings (if any) are to be had on electronics.

Also me and me mates have just booked a flight and are just going to bum around for a couple of weeks, was just wondering how much spending money I would need? To include 14 night accommodation, beer, and getting around there. Bearing in mind that we want to go to a couple of places while we are there not just stay in one place.

Summarized.... how much do thing cost in Thailand?

Sunny Camera on Silom if you're after Nikon digital camera gear. Close to Sala Daeng skytrain station. They make Nikon cameras (not all models) in Thailand. I picked up my D70 there.

Other places to look would be MBK plaza (Sian Square skytrain station) and Panthip Plaza. Panthip is basically a computer plaza but plenty of digital camera stuff.
