Things to do in dubai

try not to upset the local authorities... they're a developed country in some respects... and in other respects very very backwards - virtual slavery still exists among migrant workers, human rights record is rather low... don't expect any 'justice' if something bad does happen.

Only thing I've done whilst out there that's "interesting" was go to that giant mall, pretty impressive place! Some decent cars around to check out also.
I recommend doing that!

The rest of the time outside of work has been spent drinking copious volumes of beer or wine outside. I also recommend doing this.

Go up the Burj Khalifa, marvel at the achievement slave-labour affords you and then spend the rest of the time slowly shaking your head at the garish tackiness of the place.

I'm not a fan of the place, but the rules as mentioned above really isn't that bad. It's very westernised and if you want to do drink, there is plenty of it.

Brunches are the things to be doing though. Drink and food for a set fee.

Just come back, isnt as bad as people think when it comes to general rules, just be respectful and dont do anything stupid. Americans are the worst for this from what I witnessed over there.

The Burj Khalifa At The Top Tickets make a good little trip, I suggest booking an evening trip but do book in advance. Makes a good day out as it is connected with Dubai Mall, so me and the Wife spent the day there going in the Aquarium, Ice Skating, Spending Money and Eating.

75 Min yellow boat trip, it leaves from Dubai Marina Walk side, very good trip at not bad prices, takes you down the Marina, out into the sea and gives good views of the Palms, Atlantis hotel, Burj Al Arab etc. Worth it

We swam with Dolphins (Wife wanted to do it badly) was a good day, went into the water park connected to the Atlantis so made a day of it, if you like water Parks goto Wild Wadi though.

If you want to goto a Souk, goto the Gold Souk near the Creek, the one near the Burk Al Arab is useless.

Another top trip I suggest is the Evening Safari, some good dune bashing to start then a lovely evening in the little camps they have scattered about. Really enjoyed it.

We done loads of stuff out there but its all down to you, the hotel should have a reception area for booking and suggesting trips.

What hotel are you staying at?
