ok so i recently moved up here and the gf is comming up this wknd. not really sure whats going on tbh. we'll be going out sat night, but during the day im thinking there must be loads of things in glasgow that we could do any looking for some recomendations. things i know about already; the science museum, the big xscape place. any others? cheers!

The Science Centre is great, it's worth checking what's on at the attached IMAX cinema too. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is meant to be extremely good since the revamp (haven't been since it re-opened though).

I suppose a lot depends on what you both enjoy doing and where you are in relation to the centre of the city.

As above depends what you like, plenty of restaurants bars etc, several art galleries besides Kelvingrove although its probably the only one that would occupy you for a whole day. The usual cinemas and bowling, indoor rock climbing easily available especially at X-scape, the shops of course. A fair few parks if thats your kinda thing but its not really the time of year, I think u might be able to go down the Clyde but i can't really remember? Would need checking out.

The water bus runs from under the Central Station bridge down to Braehead every day for most of the year - I'd check though because there is a 4-6 week period around now when the boat undergoes her annual overhaul. It's an interesting trip if you want to see what's left of Glasgow's maritime history.

If you want to go further down river then you're stuck until after Easter when the Waverly starts up again.

Stand outside Rangers ground in a Celtic Shirt with a banner "Rangers are ****"

Amusing for a very short time perhaps?

The museum at Kelvingrove is excellent. It has a large park just outside as well that's nice to walk round and the West End for shopping and cafes and all that. A wee change from the city centre.

I will have a think, there's loads to do here though.

Celtic at home in the cup against Stirling tomorrow as well, could probably pick up a ticket outside the ground.
