...but can't now.

I don't mean like bite your toes.

Like I remember just about every flight I went on, I would go visit the pilot. They would talk to you and tell you about the controls etc. Was great, and still a bit gutted my (theoretical) kids will never have the opportunity to do this.

What do you miss about yesterdays world?

Not having to worry about a damn thing.. as people often say 'the most difficult choice was selecting which crayon to use'

The cockpit thing, good times, aye, the walks to school with school mates, good times as well. Almost every shop having pick and mix, being able to play in the street with my mates (can't imagine it being that safe these days).

Generally everything that the health and safety freaks have taken.

Get a clip round the ear from a copper for stealing a bottle of lemonade off the Maine lorry. Then going home and telling my ma a copper hit me and why. Then getting cracked by my ma with the wooden spoon.

Yeah the whole playing in the street thing too, my old street used to be littered of all us playing. Constantly, you could always go out and know one of the parents where watching you.

Down the park, always loads of kids too.

Now I don't see it when I visit her, or any where for that matter.

I'm getting old. :/

Thats easy i miss skateboarding , i was there in the seventys for the first mad craze , i had gullwing trucks ,skf race bearings ,kryptonics and a fiberglass deck ,£100 plus was a lot of money back then ,do give it a go now and again but its a shame its seen as a kids/teen thing where skiing ect is a sport ,ah well:)

The things I miss from when I was young.

Skateboarding. Did have a go a few years back and nearly crippled myself.
Going for long bikerides with your mates that didn't involve being knackered.
Being pretty much fearless when riding down steep hills at full pelt, climbing to the highest point of a huge tree and all the other stupid stuff we all did as kids.
Getting to play with teenage girls. If you do it now you're called a pedo.

Those were the days.

I miss the fact that when I was young there was never any crime, never any terrorism, everything so super wonderful and the world was full of flowers.

Nostalgia just aint what it used to be :(
