Things you did as a teendager but not anymore

As a teenager, me and my chums of the 80s used to ride the coal trains.

We could get a lift from the colliery to the riverside and then get a classic Benny Hill chase from the workers at the coal terminal.

Don't try this kids.

Also, when kids, me and my mates had a game called duffers which was basicaly dares.

I was dared to ' Do a Starsky & Hutch ' on the roof of a Mini, which I did.

Check out the below clip and 42 seconds gives you an idea.

I got knacked for doing it though and grounded longer than I can remember.

Smoked pot!! and abused my body recklessley - nowadays i'm quite careful with what im pumping through my skull (...well for the most of the time ;))

Balancing open packets of babyfood over phone box doors, calling the phone box, and watching someone open the door to answer the phone. Ahh, phonebox shenanigans. Good times.

-Watched loads of TV, and recorded TV shows to watch later
-Kept newspapers/magazines if they had useful info in them
-Felt like I was at my academic/intelligence peak
-Worried too much about what others thought of me (I still worry about it, just not too much!)
-Pretended to be older than I was (usually to buy alcohol/porn)
-Had steadfast morals
-Used the word "gay" in a derogatory fashion

Drive around in my Ford Sierra with my mates, blasting music out on twin 18" subs in the parcel shelf thinking it was cool.

Drink lots of cheap and nasty alcohol such as lambrini and e.s.p. These days i can afford to buy more expensive fluids and ones that don't taste like cat wee.

Allowed myself to become institutionalized and downtrodden by others.
Studied hard and believed that it would get me somewhere.
Deprived myself of almost all pleasure.

Had to wait until uni to do anything like what most 'normal' people do in their teens. :)
