Think I can still make a 2.1?

Ahh I see ^^

I just had a look at my final year modules...

Personal Research Project 100% coursework
Forensic Anthropology 100% coursework
Forensic Archaeology 60/40 exam/coursework
Major Incident Management and Recovery 60/40 exam/coursework
Forensic Biomolecules 100% coursework

I turned down Forensic Toxicology for Anthropology instead.

I noticed in my handbook it says that...

To be eligible for the award of a Bachelors Degree students must be credited with all Level C and Level I units, and achieve a minimum of 80 credits at Level H. This comprises a minimum of 320 credits overall, with 120 credits at each of Level C and Level I and 80 at Level H.

Well if thats the case, I can choose my best two modules (20 credits each) and my dissertation (40 credits) for the 80 required, 320 total.

Would I be looked at any differently by employers if I chose only to use 80 credits worth, or can I use all 120 credits? = 360 credit degree? Such a thing?

I have no idea what the difference in levels means, but if you have a 2:1 you have a 2:1, you wouldn't put down how many credits you took in your final year, so I don't see how an employer would know any different?

check your course handbook.

I've not seen a course where you did not need to get 120points at level 3 to get the full degree classification.

Third year really has an impact. I literally scraped a 2:1 last year but the extra effort this year has seen my marks go up quite a bit. I found my mindset changed quite a bit this year tbh.

That's what they all say :)

Usually true if you actually do something about it, I got a borderline 60% in first year, 67% in second year and every year I worked harder and felt more effective, this year has been the same so keeping my fingers crossed for a first.

I'm also interested in this as i'm currently finishing my 2nd year. it annoys me though, on the modules i really enjoy which there are three, i'm averaging good 60's and sometimes late 50's. (course is geography)

However there are 3 other core modules which are terrible. i mean we were even marked on our career choice for one of them!, how the hell do you mark that.

Anyhoo, this means that for 3 modules i'm doing pretty good, then for another 2 i'm barely scraping 40-45. which means it drags my mark down.

just hope I can pull it out of the bag in the third year, and its a shame because i really enjoy my chosen modules, just the crap core ones that go with it are dragging me down.
