Think I did something wrong

OK I recently purchased and built my first system with some help from a friend. I got 4GB of memory but computer will crash after around 30mins:confused:.

If I only install 2GB the computer will run fine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Below is a list of everything I got:

As above here's the memtest link - use the bootable ISO.

But also test the other slot with a single stick (if your MB wil allow this) as it may be the DIMM slot at fault.

Also check the sticks and DIMM slots for any post manufacturing residue that could be causing poor contact and could be cleaned off (carefully).
