Think i have a problem :(

Right, as Nickjf20 has said, it could be fine but as I don't know, I don't want to recommend testing as it's not my system that's going to be testing it. Personally I would try it but I take risks.

That is £10 less but the fans on the Asus card you listed seem better for only £10 more so I'd go with that if you choose to get a 750Ti. Either card is better than your old card and will not stress the PSU out.

I'm assuming your old card was a HD 4850, if so I think the 5770 is comparable. If I'm right this is the boost you'll get with less of a power draw.

if the 750ti needs no power from the PSU then that is the card to go for imo. it should be quite the boost over your old blown up card and its not even close to your £200 budget.

No plans at all to overclock - wouldn't know how to! :)

Long term (me I'd be doing it now) you might want to consider replacing your PSU.

One thing I've learned down the line, is to never skimp on a PSU.

OK guys, i have received my card from the MM.

I have installed the card and when powered up the system is running from the standard VGA graphics adapter.

So i go to AMD driver download and can only find drivers for XP, 7, 8 and 8.1 - no drivers listed for Vista.

What now or have i been advised incorrectly that this card is compatible? (*shriek*)

I just had a quick look here and Vista drivers are listed...

Did you select the correct GPU on the page kelt linked to?

Should be this.

ok, that did the trick! Card is recognised and running!

However, i am connecting via HDMI and the colour looks very washed out - i played L4D and it was way too dark.

Is there any calibration tools or recommended settings any one uses? (also seeing the text is a little blurry, not sharp).

Ta for the help so far!
