Think I know the answer to this.....

...but, I have a PC with XP preinstalled, I am building a new machine, is it possible to tranfer my XP OS to my new machine. I do not have the disks, just an OEM recovery disk.

I am pretty sure tht this is not allowed/do-able but please confirm those in the know.

Ignore me, just read through some other threads and it seems that I can't

Additionally recovery disks are normally tied to the spec of the machine they belong to and just don't work in other machines.
