lol I solved the white spots by ordering another hmd from (insert name here) and it came an hour ago, no more flashing white spots, the 'old' hmd is being returned.Could be a brain tumour.
Think i'm going to get a pimax 8kx, am i slightly mad?

Sorry to drag an old thread up but thought i would complete it with an update...
My Pimax 8KX after less than 6 months of ownership has developed a crack in the casing.
Pimax support offered me a silicone case cover as a solution lol
....yeah right.
Amazon being Amazon (fugging 1st class customer service for me from Amazon for nearly 15 years now) after I explained the situation have offered to refund me the full purchase price yes 5.5 months after purchase if I send the 8KX back to them (which ofc I'm going to do).
What I've learnt is is that Pimax have some really fun hmd's but beware quality issues.
