yeah, I did have to clear the cmos. maybe i have moved a cable without knowing.

Last time it happened I started to really panic. No matter what I tried the bios just wouldn't see the drive. Eventually it came back but no idea how or why. Beginning to think SATA drives are just too much hassle lol
