Thinking about a getting q6600 but i can get a solid 485FSB on my p5k deluxe with all ram banks filled with my e6600 (watercoolered cpu ,120mm fan on the ram/northbrige area). Im hoping to get about 4ghz which i need 470fsb the only soild info i can find is old bit-tech page on Q6600 overclocking from back in july so an 6 months old bios for which did'nt even get 400fsb but im sure P35 boards ahev done a lot better than this.

So is there anyone out there with a p5k deluxe running a q6600 , whats been your FSB wall. ?

I'm no expert but it sounds like you've got it good there. I'd run the E6600 for a little while long, say till next summer when the new lot of chips are out and the Q6600 is going for £100 new.

Do you really need a Q? From what I've heard in terms of gaming it makes next to no difference. I'm happy with my E6600 @ stock, i'm delighted when its bumped to 3.2 so really no need for a Q for me right now, what about yourself or is it the sake of buying so you can have a new toy to play with!? :D We've all done it, do it and will continue to do so in the future, its a disease!
