Thinking about getting a new CRT monitor.

If you can find one, don't hesitate to buy a Sony GDM-W900.

It's a 24" widescreen CRT and they are absolutely stunning monitors - I wish I had never sold mine :(

Sadly, they are very, very hard to find refurbished now. If you are lucky though, make sure you have plenty of desk space and someone to help you carry it!

There are loads of these about for around £200, a quick check on a well known auction site for Sony CRT 24" shows three on offer as I type this. As someone else said though they are incredibly deep front to back.

For sellers who specify pick up only, you could always ask if they would accept you aranging for one of the parcel firms to pick it up.

Playing fast games on an LCD doesn't compare when you play them on a crt :<

Too bad they take up too much space

When are we likely to see the nearest thing to a CRT ?

OLED and SED i think are the technologies we need, to be fair i was twitchy about moving to LCD aswell.. but get the right one and i cant see you having any problems

the only one that annoyed me a lot is the backlight bleed on the left side when i view it that way.
