Hi

Thinking of going for the 500 mins and unlimited texts on "3" for 25 quid a month. Now looking at it, I get things like windows messenger free with the Nokia 6500 Slide, but i cant find anywhere where it tells you normal internet browsing charges (say if i wanted to get on facebook or generally just browse the web) i cant find any charges relating to browsing the web.

Does anyone know how much they charge?

Thanks :)

Thanks for that :) Id like to stay with 02 but three's deals are the best ive come accross yet, so i think im willing to take a chance with their customer service.

Everyone i speak too says three is crap but i cant find any better deals out there at the moment, especially with the free msn thing thrown in :(

Any recommendations?

I have 2 contracts with 3 and have had them for about 2 years and never really had a problem. I also pay £5 per month for unlimited internet useage on my N95. The highlight for them has to be when my K800i broke down. They collected it from the office and had it returned and fixed the following morning!

02 simplicity sim only deal? they were good last time i looked and you can get the unlimited web bolt on as well.
I'm with three and i hate them.

You can get 1100 mix and match on Three for £20 a month! I've just gone with this and it's been great so far. You can add unlimited Internet surfing plus more with the X-Series add on for £5 a month. Also sign up to quidco and get £62.50 cash back and £30 credit with a refer a mate number! Free 6500 Slide too.

See this is what im really tempted by. I cant find anything better at all!

I am on the £25 p/m 500 minutes, unlimited texts package. Just signed up last week when O2 couldn't offer me a comparable deal. The clincher was the fact that it's on 12 month, which swayed me.

And my verdict? Pretty good so far to be honest. Haven't needed to contact customer support yet so time will tell, but coverage seems ok. Hadn't had delivery reports for ages on O2 so it was nice to be able to get them again.

I also opted to get the unlimited data for an extra fiver, and the internet is reliable and quick.

I think it's one of the best offers at the moment, and the 6500 slide is a nice little phone. Hope you like it :)

Three is great. I have been with them for five years cause nobody comes close to beating their deals.

Everytime I think of moving at the end of a contract they give me stupid offers.

Currently on 750 mins, 250 texts (don't text much), 50 MMS, 30 mins video calls, unlimited internet/data for a silly £20 per month.

Only downsides are the choice of handsets are limited compared to other networks (fine if they have the one you want) and if you do have a problem, dealing with the call centre in India will have you pulling your hair out!

Case in point:

Last time I upgraded they said my phone wuld be there next day. I got home to find no phone so rang them and they said it had been delivered. I checked with neighbours (couriers quite often leave parcels with them as they are retired and always in) and no phone.

Rang 3 again and they said it was signed for at 4.06pm. I asked who by and they said "Ivan". I said "Ivan who?". They said just Ivan. I said I can't beleive you haven't got a surname. They told me I must have an Ivan living in my house and I should see him for my phone. Okay I said, can I confirm the address you delivered it to. They said my house and street name correctly but the city was Newcastle! (I live 50 miles from Newcastle)

This went on for about two hours with them insisting that I had told them to deliver it to Ivan in Newcastle and I should go and see Ivan to get me phone

Finally convinced them that I didn't have it and didn't know an Ivan and they agreed to ship another phone which arrived a couple of days later.

About a week later there was a knock on the door and the local GP called "Dr Evans" said he had a parcel which he thought was mine. Yep - my first missing phone :)

I never told three cause of the three hour hassle I had convincing them I didn't have the phone and just kept it.

I have had other run ins with them but overall, so long as you can live with **** customer support, you can't get a better package.

Also if you are not in a 3 network reception area, they have a roaming agreement with Orange and you get just as good coverage as with an Orange phone.

simplicity online 25

30 day contract so not stuck for 12/18 months
600 mins
1000 texts
free unlimited web bolt on

Good deal if you don't want a new phone but most people do. Don't forget with most contracts giving new phones, the deals aren't as good cause somebody is paying up to £500 for the phone!

You can get the 6500 slide on 12 months with 3 on £25 per month, 12 months with 500 mins and unlimited texts.

Sell your 6500 slide on the bay for £100 (easy) and your monthly cost will only be £16.67 plus a £5 for internet access and your back to £21.67.

Pretty much same deal as O2 but for 100 mins less but more texts (depends what suits you) and a 12 mths commitment you save £3.33 per month. So on a par really.

Plus I find 3's loyalty with them as time goes by is great. The will allow me to keep my silly tariff (see me other post) and send me a Nokia N95 8Gb if I sign up for new contract with them. I could sell the Nokia and have my contract for free for the year if I didn't want a new phone (which I do :D)

How are three when the phone is used abroad, is there good reception?

And above was metioned about three using oranage when they are not able to get a signal?

I have been with three for ages. It’s not always easy if you have a problem though but you tend to learn how to play the call centre staff and "what’s on the script today game".

If you never get annoyed with them (always seems to help) and when things don't go right just keep asking them what to do (rather than telling them what you want) and what does their system say / allow. This approach has always worked for me.

Plus there is plenty of advice on the 3G forums / numbers to call / addresses to write to if you get totally stuck.

Can’t beat their deals either. They also seem to be able to sort out problems instore again which they moved away from doing for a long time.
