Just about to start ordering:
Phobya 420 radiator with 6x Xigmatek XAF-F1453 140mm LED Fans
XSPC rx240 radiator Already have 4x120mm fans
OcUK D5 Vario Pump
XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock
XSPC Full Cover Razor 6990 waterblock
EK Multioption Reservoir X2 250 Advanced
I'm still abit confused about connectors. But been told id 1/2 tubing is probably best to go for with compression fittings. So could someone possibly tell me exactly what connectors I will need and what quantity for this to work well???
Take all the XSPC RX rads out and replace them, with the EX rads instead. Slimmer and the same performance
Cheaper aswell![]()
i think the fattest tubing you can get looks better and if you get the thick walled stuff, you wont suffer from kinks, i found using mid cost 7/16" tubing this happened on tighter bends.
ive only just started using compression fittings and i wont go back, ive had a few leaks with normal fixings even with 7/16 over 1/2, also i had some ****** 45 degree rotating fixings.
With compression fixings if moneys no object go with bitspower...otherwise EK/phobya fixings are cheap but good quality, if you need a pointer of where to get them send me a PM.
He's got the OcUK D5 EK Top Combo in the original post so I guess he's not using the stock top.
However I can confirm that 7/16 tubing fits over the stock top 1/2 barbs, with much force though![]()
Sorry I meant the OcUK D5 Vario Pump & EK D5 X-Top V2 Value Combo as from research this is good value/quiet and powerful?
Maybe get some angle connectors? a couple of 45/90 degree fittings may well come in handy
I was told to go for this thick walled tubing so hopefully won't need any angle connectors. Which can reduce flow rate?
The flow rate reduction with the connectors is minimal. You won't even notice it.
BTW, I suggest you download OcUK shopper as it allows you to easily copy your shopping basket here so we can see it![]()
I have the OcUK shopper thingy but unfortunatly Overclockers don't stock much watercooling stuff so could only buy about 3 or 4 of the items from them.
I think they stock quite a lot of watercooling stuff. More than the average competitor and specific good parts that people generally get, probably that's why they don't have some of the parts that you've required![]()
Back on subject do you think 2000ml of fluid is enough?
