Thinking of buying a WD SN850X M.2 drive, do we have to make like a 10%/20% Overprovisioning(OP) on these drives, like i did on my old ssd drives, or is that not a thing with M.2 drives ? or will there be a option in the Western Digital M.2 software to make a Overprovisioning partition ?, would like to hear from WD M.2 owners, thx

It's not really required these days as the controllers and firmware on modern drives are a lot better.

However if you regularly fill the drive to the limit, write and delete lots of data (e.g. install/uninstall games constantly) or plan on keeping the drive for an extended period of time, then there is no harm in overprovisioning a little to give the drive a little more breathing room to manage endurance.
So if i just always leave at least 10% of the drive empty, i guess that is the same as a OP anyway correct ?, thx
