thinking of buying this? good idea?

I'd test it now just to make sure it doesn't have any dead pixels. You can DSR it if it does, which is worth doing because warranties usually only cover dead pixels over a certain amount and area. Tell this to your missus so you can play with it for a while :D It's a legitimate reason to do so!

+1

I ordered 3 of these monitors and 2 out of 3 had stuck green pixels!

Ok had a quick game of borderlands 2 and no dead pixels. Although 1080 didnt fill the screen but 1050 did. Is that normal?.

Like 1080 had a border about an inch big all around.

(noob alert)

I ordered one of these as part of a new build for an xmas prezzy. How are you getting on Philz0r?

I'm a bit concerned that your last post mentions 1080 resolution did not fill screen.

only had a 15 minute go, no dead pixels but yea, no idea why 1080 didnt fill the screen but 1050 did :/

the picture looked fantastic and the monitor itself looks well made.

A friend says try the hdmi to dvi cable as his did the same thing on an acer monitor.

Ill report back after jolly saint nick has been if its true :)

You need to go into the graphics card settings and alter the scaling. I have ATI cards and the scaling options are under desktops and displays in the cataylst control panel. I'm not sure how it works on an Nvidia card.

Just got another 3 of these and yet again 2 out of 3 have dead pixels. In total 4 out of 6 of these have pixel faults!:(
