My Jeep certainly was exempt from C/Charges, I had a note stating as much included in my V5 when it was returned from the DVLA after updating the V5.
DVLA was correct to do so. To be eligible for Congestion Charge Exemption both the vehicle and the specific LPG conversion must be listed on the governments ‘powershift’ register. Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee 4700cc is one of the very, very few cars that have CC discount after approved conversion. Just how few? Check this - http://www.dualfuelsystems.co.uk/pages/congestionfree.html

Got a source for that?

I don't actually - read it in some market analysis rag at work (while sitting on a toilet) - duty to rise on some fuels in September, minimum proposed 35% maximum 75% depending on use. Oh, as well as 1.25 pence duty increase per litre on regular road fuels. I know, you are just as happy as I am.

Copied this from somewhere a while back, I think Gordy baby has said tax on petrol will not now rise in Sept but LPG did last Sept and probably will this Sept also.
Prices for LPG are up 33% on the year and a similar rise in the future looks likely
