thinking of getting a graphics card

Not sure if getting a graphics card will help your sound much. ;)

But seriously, that is a good card. Very good for gaming, above average sound quality. If you don't play games then look at something from M-Audio or E-MU for better sounding cards.
 
I'd personally get the Xtreme Music sound-card for a few pounds more, don't be deceived that because it has the word "Gamer" in it that's its neccasarly better at Gaming, but both the Xtreme Music & Gamer sound-cards sound great and defiantly worth the money in my opinion.

cheers man, yea they seem a decent price like, i'll maybe look out for the 'music' version then
 
Try and get an audigy 2 zs from the mm
have to tell you i sold mine in the mm and got
an xfi extreme music the audigy 2 zs is just as good
haven't noticed anything special about this xfi.
