Thinking of getting a PSP

I have just sold my DS and getting a Lite tomorrow i owned a PSP when they first came out (Cost a bomb from importer)... Although i love my DS and loved my psp TBH comparing them is like chalk and cheese. There are loads of great games on each console but saying the DS is better for games or the PSP is better is silly. The DS has a great deal of great games but also has a good chunk of cr&p ones (Have you seen any of the driving games on the DS? They are laughable). The PSP has better graphics, better sound and looks ace but the playability, imho, is loads better on the DS.

If you like games that are a bit more sophisticated and technically better and more adult orientated buy a PSP.

If you after something thats a bit more fun, colourful and has a more pick up and play element get the DS.

I personally am a big kid hence why i love the DS but i will pick up another PSP in the future expecially if they do a resident evil game for it... :D

whilst i agree that racing games are generally better opn psp mainly because of burnout there is one little game on ds called mario kart that supports single cart multiplayer, online wifi miultplayter and fantastic game play thats beats them all.

GTA is still great, the cheat device for it has made me play it all over again solid for the last few weeks. Vice City Stories will be out very soon too. I just hope they can get Gran Turismo out ASAP

Got a PSP in February 2005, haven't played in in ages! It's ok for films, and looks nice, but the games are pretty boring and the refelctive screen gives me headaches... I do love my DS and new DS lite, they are a cut above for gaming!

Saw a nice package in HMV - the Giga Pack plus LocoRoco and Daxter. Cant remember how much it was though. They also included those two games if you bought a white one.

Ive been toying with the idea of a PSP for some time now, mainly because Loco Roco looks quite interesting. But somehow, i can justify shelling out over £150 for a games console that has only one game that interests me.

Same here. I might get one in a few months to replace my PS2 though. That's pretty much the only way I can justify it. Got handed a flyer today, Virgin will be selling gigapacks for £149 on Monday only. Tempting...

i suggest you really play on one in the shop first dude.

I bought one, had it 1 week, hated the ghosting on the screen.

Now have a ds lite and love it.

The psp is a nice lookin bit of kit, shame the ghosting really let it down for me.

I'll probably pick up a PSP for Ghouls 'n' Ghosts and Loco Roco - but not untill prices have dropped. Two few decent games at the moment.
