Thinking of getting some fish..

ive spent the entire day and night reading up on the setup and how to maintain a saltwater tank and i think it might be a bit out of my league haha :D not just the complexity of getting the correct wter and salt etc but also the cost, ive decided on having a freshwater tropical tank and see how well i do with that :D

If this is your first venture with fish keeping, then I'd probably avoid a marine set-up for now. Start with a tropical freshwater community tank.

Get yourself registered on a fish keepers forum and go from there. Don't be overly in a hurry to be stocking up on fish when you need to know some basics first, such as water chemistry. It may take several weeks, or longer, before the levels of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are ready for fish to be introduced.
