But but the 8 series is just a hop skip and possibly a few months away.... and dont forget about the H.M.S 790 that will be making a appearence soon...

Wish I'f snagged a couple of those 4Gb Zotac 670's when they were on offer, finding someone to trade with is a pita so selling up and buying new seems the best option.

Edit: just seen you are replacing already Xfired 7950's ignore post, or read for why you wouldn't want the 760.
If you can grab a 670 , do it over a 760! just do it. (Though tbh 4GB is a bit OTT , this is coming from someone who has a 4GB 670. I can see the benefit for SLI just know that they will NEVER use the full 4GB , 3GB max i reckon its just the limitations of the GPU core itself but thats a topic for another evening) Otherwise bite the bullet pick up a 680, either way you cant go wrong but personally If I bought a 760 knowing that for roughly the same money I could have picked up a 670 or added some cash for a 680 I'd be a bit bummed.

aside from that, Cant fault Nvidia really sure they are a bit pricey but always have worked for me. Occasional bad driver but they seem to be fixing their act up now, plus shadow play is pretty cool and you get PhysX if you care about it.

Otherwise keep your 7950 and wait to see what mantle is like.

It won't be an downgrade on 770s at all. 7950s weren't as fast as 680s at 1080 (the standard res) never mind 770s which are a touch faster than them.

(Source: I had both 680s and 7950s. 2 680s and 4 7950s :p)

OP: No not worth swapping to anything under a 780 though on performance terms alone.

Maybe not but you are bang on it's a side grade at best. 2 x 780 or not worth it

OP if you really want a crazy new toy, bag a 780ti and clock the nuts off it. A few months down the line you can add a second for even more fun.:D

Don't forget your running two GPU'S so doe's the grunt factor really matter. l'v just gone Sli 670's 4gb and run them at stock Core's at 915mhz, from 6970.

Every game l'v tried is so smooth, got 4gb to be more future proof all round, just got a Samsung 971D 27" 2560x1440res monitor as a Xmas prezzy of the family.

Been playing Ghost at 2560x1440res prior to that 24" 1920x1080res, and it really brings out the colours and the map detail.

My advice is go for what you can afford minimum Nvidia 670 miss out the 760, 770 Sli and AMD 7950, 7970 Xfire.

Single 780 or 780Ti, add another if you want in the future, as the R29 seems to have Black Screen issue's.

Ive thought about ditching the 670's a few times now. But tbh theres no single card worth moving to without having to spend about £500.00+. Run mine at stock now too, (1189/1150) though im sure theyll handle a mild oc if i need a bit more oomph.
