well im making the leap today,I just got my new aol wireless router through the door,I have a fair idea how to set it up as I have read the sticky at the top of the page(well most of it anyway)

so what id like to know is are all technoligies interconnectable,my router is a thomson st585 v6 and i havent bought an adapter yet(I was thinking belkin or netgear) any ideas as to which would be the best? also i see something called g+ with regards to belkin,if i get a g+ adapter im guessing it wouldnt work with my router but could someone cinfirm that please?

just one more thing both me and my sister have pc's mine is vista 32bit and hers is xp sp2 will this cause any problems in setting up the network as if it does ill just have to stick to the good old routers

thanks in advance for any help recieved

In a word yes

Pretty much all wireless stuff will work with each other in theory. some people will argue to stick to same brands

Personally Id go with Netgear as im boycotting Belkin, theres no problem between XP SP2 and Vista
