Hey guys.

Ive overclocked my 6800 128MB Graphics card.

I used Nvidias "Detect Optimal Frequencies" tab, and it overclocked the graphics card by its self. The default is : 325/700.

It is overclocked at : 386/821

Do you think i could take it any more?

If i could, how would be the right method of doing it?

And i dont wanna risk blowing it, i cant afford another one :p

Also, i know my card is only 128MB, but when i bought it, the man said it could be unlocked to GT. How do i unlock it to GT? Ive already opened the pipes (16) does this mean GT?

Overclock it. If it blows up or what ever then back down the overclock. If it runs fine then just keep overclocking it until it blows up.

On a more serious note - just overclock it until it becomes unstable or artifacts.

3dmark 03/05 are good quick apps to run to test for artifacts etc.

So, if it blows up, i can reverse it? So it un-blows up?

Got it to 400 on core!

Gonna 3D mark it in a sec.

Do i need to do anything with "memory clock frequency" ?

Thanks in advance.

No luck.

Ran 3DMARK 03 and it decided to reboot its self in the middle of testing.

At least i tried!

Now its back to 386/821

Thanks

Yeah thats the spirit! Maybe stick it back together with some sticky tape like blue peter would.

Or just pull another one out and say "luckily heres one I made earlier".

Is this temperature level too high?

58 - IDLE.

If so, do i need another fan in my pc?

Only worry about temperature if your card slithers out of your PC in a liquid state.

Check the load temp if you can. Keep it under 85c.
