Wait.

An FX8350 is loads better than an i5 2500K with a 7850?

Because if that's what you're saying, that's absolute BS, you'll be hard pressed to see any difference at all between the set ups because both CPU's will be maxing out the GPU having grunt left.
Unless say you were running DOW 2 etc.

Then you can safely be ignored, you'd see no difference between the set ups (And if you did, it'd be in low threaded and cpu intensive games, and it wouldn't be to the FX83) except the 2500K and 7850 combination would offer poor price/performance.

My old 2500k provided a much smoother game play experience in Crysis 1 with a single 5850 then my old Phenom 2 x6 did with 5850's.

Minimum FPS is still primarily decided by the CPU and not the GPU

I know my i5 2500K > My 1055T 4.375GHZ with 6870 Crossfire quite safely.

5850 Crossfire had some terrible microstutter problems with Crysis 1 from what I recall.

I'll do a benchmark of my R9 290 flashed with an R9 290X and 4.6GHZ Haswell with Resi from Steam.

We could look at games people actually play instead of selecting only ones that are likely to put the 8320 in a poorer light:

Tomb Raider
Bioshock Infinite
Metro 2033
Metro Last Light
Batman Arkham City/Origins
Sleeping Dogs

All have built in benchmarks and vary in CPU/GPU use.

It's no news that old CPU intensive games that only use 2 cores will run better on a 2500K. It's also no news that games aren't written like that any more.

Resi 6 benchmark..

STALKER COP benchmark tool

Crysis 1?

Lost planet 3?

What stand alone benchmarks are out....

Doesn't matter if a game doesn't have a benchmark. You can use FRAPS to test an agreed level/area of the game with multiple runs and pool the results. That is what we do on BF4.

No other games?

I will download resi 6 benchmark too.
