Thinking of switching from Intel to AMD

It's a benchmark optimised for nvidia cards for a game that nobody has. It doesn't even support MSAA, you have to run FXAA. It only appears to make proper use of 1-2 cores. It's not very useful as a general benchmarking tool.

I should learn to use google to "prove" a claim you have made? Don't think it works like that actually.

That "review" you posted shows absolutely no evidence of decent multi-core/multithreaded performance. Just a wall of text and a couple of irrelevant screenshots. No comparative data although there is a screenshot showing 4 cores being utilised but no idea if that is within game or on the bench or if it even is in Resi6

In the real world, a few of us have now run this benchmark and we are not seeing 70-80% usage in 4 cores. Go figure. Unless they forgot to optimise the bench engine and the actual game uses 4 cores. Who knows.

You have no idea how games work do you? You won't see use that high if the CPU has little reason to go that high....

The game is threaded to at least 4 cores so stop with the fan boy excuses...

Obviously it seems I have a much better idea than you. The bench definitely isn't threaded to 4 cores. My CPU should have reason to go that high and in 4 cores as it apparently is bottlenecked by this game. Yet it only uses 2.

Now the FX CPUs may well bottleneck a 7990 in this game benchmark but they definitely do NOT utilise 4 cores.

the game may well be threaded for 4 cores doesnt mean it uses 4 cores,it uses 2 cores and that leaves some room in the tank for other cpu usage

Even I don't have that one :D

Last time I played a RE game was RE 1 on the PSX :D

What was your CPU load?
