I currently have a Gigabyte Z77x UD5H, i'm thinking of upgrading, but what too ?

Current processor is an i5 3570K Ivybridge 1155, the pc is mainly used for gaming, streaming, music, bit of video editing and general internet use. Must have at least 2 x USB 3 headers. Is it worth the change to an 1150 socket Haswell CPU as well or wait for the next intel cpu's ?

Just a question on chipsets, does it matter what chipset you go for as their are so many around, what are the differences between the most common chipsets ? Obviously the one i have at the min is the Z77.

Absolutely no point. Haswell is a very small step up from Ivy. Stick with what you have and treat yourself to a new monitor or something.

I wouldn't bother. You'll be spending a lot of money for a minor performance increase at best. Wait for Broadwell, see what it looks like then.

If you've got some money burning a hole in your pocket then look at a graphics card upgrade or an SSD if you don't have one already.

the z chipsets tend to be better for overclocking the k chips and will support higher ram frequencies (above 1600mhz)

think they also have better support for pcie lane speeds

I would wait for broadwell as its not far off or skylake
