Thinking of upgrading

Would you mind at all doing a little test for me if possible?
If you could, would you benchmark BF3 (going hunting) section on ultra but no msaa/motion blur, i'll do the same an see the difference between your cpu etc if it makes sense.
I'm thinking about getting a 7850/7870 now, then upgrading to intel in jan along with another 7870.

BF3, BF4, Crysis2, Crysis3, F1-2012, Dirt3 and the like.... will suit the FX-83## and the 3570K.

World of Warcraft and the like will suit 3570K and not work (as well) on the FX-83##

F1 2012 doesn't utilize any of my hyperthreaded cores, infact it uses 4 cores (all the real ones) and at no more than 30%. I only tested that when the game first came out due to very very poor CF scaling (same as 2011)

Thought i'd check the CPU usage, stayed the same for 1GPU or 2, exactly the same over 3 screens. If you give me a link or any form of proof showing me otherwise, i will bow to superior intellect :D

Already did that a while ago. right here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=23055571&postcount=414

Its from the start and ended going in to the clouds.

I'm signing off for a few hours, be back later if you need anything.

Just ran Going Hunting , the first time everything was on ultra preset and the second run was as you asked with ultra but with no motion blur and no msaa

I was in pretty much the same boat as you. I opted for the GPU upgrade though and went from a 5850 to a 7950 last week and the improvement is amazing.

I am going to stick with my Phenom II x6 now until Haswell arrives and upgrade to an i5. In CPU terms I would wait, and I say that only because intel is changing the sockets. I figure upgrading to a haswell, will also let me upgrade to further intel chips another 2-3 years down the line on the same motherboard.
