Third Party VGA lead problems??

I recently purchased an unbranded VGA lead from amazon.co.uk and was incredibly dissapointed by its performance.
The resolutions were fine but something wasnt right with the colour and vibrancy of the picture. The colours were no where as rich as that my PC outputs, and the aspect didnt look right.
Even my 24' TV seemed to be more colourful and vibrant.

Has anyone else had a similar tale?
Does anyone know if the official Micorsoft VGA leads performs any better?

From the user review of that cable on Amazon, it seems the cable is indeed a bag of pants.

If you go for a better quality one, ideall MS official or a Madcatz cable, you'll get a lot better picture.

Just a matter of waiting for the MS ones to come back into stock now I guess

I got my Madcatz one today and I notice quite bad shadowing on white text Still an awesome picture but not perfect, think i'll keep my pre-order for the Joytech ones at gameplay.
