"Product lifetime" unfortunately - scumbag move, but you can tell people don't read T&Cs. The products life has now ended and it's folding into Pluralsight. Still a scumbag move and should be stopped.

Spoke to a couple of recruiters this week who explained decent sounding jobs, then they send me the spec and it reads completely differently. When questioned they say the spec isn't really right and what they said is right. What am I meant to do with that?...

I think the last straw may have been the other day when a manager had to raise a ticket to be able to raise a ticket in the right place, to in fact raise a ticket for approval to be able to raise another ticket on a different system, to then wait 2 weeks for a response which was resolved by ops team with "this is not allowed".

In ours on a regular basis a new team or new manager refuses to use the existing support system and creates a new one, or a new mail box, or just uses email or such. So many convoluted ways of doing something so simple. Then argue about the support process.
All while ignoring as much support as they can until it blows up in to a crisis.

100%. It pains me.If they can do it in under 2 weeks, why does it take months in the UK? Serious question.
I handed in my notice end of Feb, beginning of March, my colleague followed me and handed his after 3/4 weeks after me, they struggled to find anyone for months, they settled for a Junior to get some help and they still haven't found anyone Mid/Senior to fill the other role.100%. It pains me.
We started hiring in November for entry level testers, my 3rd time hiring this role in 2 years. Job descriptions all the same, interview questions etc just a repeat. After first interviews HR came back to us about visa status of the candidates and they had misinterpreted our requests. So my management and HR dithered over it til last week when we asked them to call the shortlist and invite them back. One out of three answered, came for interview today. We'll make an offer next week.
It's always like this. Takes literal months to get a job approved, listed, interviews and second round.
Edit: also we have a job listing open which closes Monday. The person we're replacing left 1st July. So that's 5-6 months to write a new job description and post it online.
