Thinking of buying an "Olympus FE-120" and would appreciate if any of you photography people could tell me if it's decent choice.

basically i've never had a digital camera of any kind (even on a phone) and i'm on an immensly tight budget and this seems to be the best i can find sub £70. Reviews seem to be a bit varied in opinion so if you have any advice i'd love to hear it.

I am very much a novice myself, but from what little I have seen

it has an optical zoom, so that is a good start

looks to be all automatic, which is fine, but if you are hoping to progress a little and want a more dynamic camera, then you really need one that has manual modes, so you cna play with shutter speeds and aperature etc.

For the budget you mentioned, you may be better to get a second hand, but higher spec camera. ebay or london camera exchange may be options,or keep your eye on the members market on these forums

i was also looking at that camera a few weeks back .but i was put off by some of the reviews .i ended up with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS2 i only payed £69 for it .and it takes great pictures .not the best looking camera in the world but who cares .as long as the pics are good im happy
:)
