This could be great for Earth.

Sounds like fusion power, haven't may countries achieved this?
not sustainably, no. There have been a number of attempts that have kept the reaction going for about a minute which is pretty cool, but we've been 10yrs away from nuclear fusion being a real energy source since I was in school (many more than 10 years ago). I do firmly believe this is the way forwards, but it's gonna take time.

I don't think it is a time constraint but just like the pharmaceutical industry wanting to keep everyone sick. No one wants to invent free energy because of greed.

Imagine a world with free energy!

Why are you under the impression it will be free? Are Apples free because they have seeds in them? There's a monumental amount of infratructure and maintenance that will be required to build and keep these things running should we ever reach a sustainable reaction. Not to mention no one gives anything away for free regardless of how much it costs them to produce.

I said imagine because it will never happen in my life time.

It’s actually really easy - just get enough hydrogen the same place and let gravity do its thing.

You only need about 80 Jupiter masses.

Nah, if you could produce energy that cheaply you'd make a mint by allowing greater energy consumption and take the whole market

Yeah I meant many countries had been researching and had produced tests that proved its possible.

I never watched the video, and just assumed it was the same as other videos and articles I'd seen over the years
