This has gotta be a joke!

Child was playing hide and seek?

Sure it's at a height, but is it that more dangerous than other places 'hidden away' in a plane?

Well done mother, you've just scored two free tickets. She should have gone for a life time supply of free tickets by pretending the air hostess was going to kidnap her or something.

Random news item is random.

Sounds like it was a bit of a joke and he was only in there for ten seconds. I’m so devastated that I can’t stop myself from laughing. It’s probably what his mother should have done.

Huge over-reaction.

Kids are way too molly cuddled these days. I wouldn't have a second thoughts hiding any kid I was fooling around with in a cupboard.

Edit: The above sounds really bad!

If I was on a flight and you put your precious toddler/baby/noise machine next to me it wouldn't be in the locker it'd be out the ****ing window. Should ban kids from Planes.

Get a grip! More of an over reaction than the mother in the story!

bet you'd hit them with your keyboard :D

I once was on a flight and i have 2 kids behind me, all the way for nearly 3 hours they took great delight in kicking my chair, I have a Very bad back and was unhappy as it was.

I complained and got my return flight for free and promised a seat away from children

She was crying for days on end because her child was put in the overhead locker for 10 seconds? and the toddler is suffering from anxiety because of it? A massive overreaction.

she's going for the compo

i remember flying internally from cleveland to chicago, less than 2 hours but there was a baby on the flight who cried the entire way, drove me mad and i was thankful it was only a short flight but hey, what can you do about it?

She should get a good slap..."For days on end I was crying" really, what a hard life you must have.

""My husband, Shayne, was standing one metre behind my son" and he just let this happen...clearly there was some reason behind it that the dad never reacted.

You wouldn't though would you, you'd sit there and take it like a pussy for fourteen hours just like everyone else does

As the windows are sealed it would be impossible, I can assure you that I would not be sitting anywhere near someone's noisy sprog, they would have to move or I would move, I'm 43yrs old and have long given up worrying about upsetting people by making a fuss, it's the idiots who don't complain and simply put up with it that makes the airlines think it's fine and bloody dandy to ruin their passengers flight because they allow children under a certain age to fly.

Next time you get stuck in a Plane with some bawling kid make sure you complain! Let's rid the skies of this annoying nuisance once and for all, no flights for under 5's!!
