This has gotta be a joke!

As the windows are sealed it would be impossible, I can assure you that I would not be sitting anywhere near someone's noisy sprog, they would have to move or I would move, I'm 43yrs old and have long given up worrying about upsetting people by making a fuss, it's the idiots who don't complain and simply put up with it that makes the airlines think it's fine and bloody dandy to ruin their passengers flight because they allow children under a certain age to fly.

Next time you get stuck in a Plane with some bawling kid make sure you complain! Let's rid the skies of this annoying nuisance once and for all, no flights for under 5's!!

So your saying that no new family with kids under 5 are able to go on holiday? Kids are stressfull and i think those parents deserve more then a poncy old man like you do.

Silly bint of a mother. Any mother in their right mind would have claimed the flight attendant later took the child to the toilet to have his dirty way with him, and assaulted the mother so badly that she has distressing visions every minute of every day. Amateur tbh.

sounds like a good idea, ought to roll it out across all airlines :p

As long as the overhead lockers are sound-proofed and have an oxygen supply, I'm all for it!

Nothing quite like a screaming toddler on a long-haul flight to induce RAGE!!!:mad::mad: Especially when the parents do naff all about it.

Your suggestion being? A face full of chloroform or a punch to the face?

Both sound like reasonable solutions to me! :D

I once asked a couple if they could please do something about their screaming child on a flight to Bangkok, all I got was arsey comments back. From that moment on I've never flown economy long-haul since. The flight crew seemed to pretend that nothing was happening.

Perhaps they need to have a "families" section on flights at least, so the rest of us can snooze/read/study/work in peace.

I can understand how people rage about children that are old enough to be told off but not babies who you can't really control.

My dad was on a flight from the US and had a baby in front of him that was crying for 10 hours :p Poor baby, must have been hurting from something. The mom was desperate to quiet him down but couldn't.

People need to get over their child rage - seriously, kids scream. Deal with it.

I'm 25, have no kids and never want any. Pretty much my only contact with the young has been amongst the general public, and I used to hate screaming kids on buses & trains. One time I ended up stuck on a packed train for 4 hours sitting across a table from a young mother with 2 toddlers, and no matter what she tried they wouldn't shut up. The first hour drove me crazy, but after that I dealt with it - I suffered no permanent damage from it, and since then I've not been disturbed by any amount of screaming kids of any age.

Moral of the story? Suck it up, you whinging, bitter complainers. If everyone lived like you the human race would have died out an age ago, with the last remnants of the species spending too much time being antagonistic and vitriolic to each other to get round to making more of themselves. If you're too sociopathic to recognise that other people have more important concerns than your personal comfort, you can damn well stay at home where you won't have to deal with things like this.

I understand some parents who are of he opinion that kids need to grow through the screaming little brat stage without assistance, or they will grow up to be some sort of raging, attention seeking mega-brat.

But REALLY? On a flight, in a confined space, with hundreds of other people around. This is completely not necessary. If some of these brats just need a dummy or a quick hug than so be it, saves the discomfort of the entire plane.

there's these amazing things called mp3 players, and headphones, which in tandem stop said annoyance...

lolz at the kid rage :p

People want to have children then they can expect to be moaned at when they take it on 12 hour flights with out sedatives. Who pays £500 for a ticket only to sit near a moaning beast of a child. One thing that is worse than child screaming is homos saying "how it is a child deal with it, suck it up". shut it.

Riley, who was locked in the overhead compartment in complete darkness for a reported ten seconds, is said to have been suffering from anxiety since the incident took place.

Oh **** off is he. I bet the kid doesn't care!

Life should work a bit like football in this respect, in football players get booked for diving or play acting (not as often as we'd like albeit) in this case the mother should be seen as a drama queen footballer and told to shut the **** up. Fair enough i wouldn't want my son to be put in an overhead locker but i wouldn't go ballistic and start "crying" over it.

Well done you stupid ***** you just lost someone their job because you wanted to try and claim as much compensation as possible, God i hate the greed of some people on this planet.

Huge overreaction from the mother there, sounds like the Flight Attendant was only playing about. :/

Agreed

"I stood up and there were people laughing and then I said 'Get my son out of there now'", adding, "I was devastated. I was absolutely devastated. I was crying. My husband was in shock. For days on end I was crying."

TBH i think he was shocked at your overreaction luv

Why were they even playing hide and seek on a ******* plane.

They should be banned from flying for thinking its ok to play a game like that on a plane. GGrrrr.....

What a terrible mother. With any luck that kid will realise what a total cretin his mother is and turn to class A drugs and violence just to **** her off. That'd learn her.
