this iant so bad ?

It's a gtx260 with a 3 year warranty at a good price, not a lot else to say really. It would be a nice step up from your 8800 too.

You can also get 4870 1gb for a little less, which will perform more or less the same if you wanted to consider an ATI card.

What resolution is your display?

An ATI 4870 1GB will out perform that, and will cost less. Couple on OcUK for less than £110. This is dirty cheap at £103.99.

Or this. £108.99, 3 year warranty, most likely quieter than the Nvidia card, and will marginally outperform it.

4870 1GB performs better on resolutions above 1680 x 1050, the GTX 260 is ahead on 1680 x 1050 and below.

There's little if anything to choose between th 260/4870 as has been established, depending on the engine or coding one will out gun the other on certain titles, measured as a whole they are considered equal.

If you have an SLI capable board then going with NV makes sense, if you fold NV again makes sense in a big way. If you prefer a quieter system then in general it's fair to say NV offer better cooling solutions as stock.

Very good price on that card
