Went through 3 stages for a job over the course of 4 weeks..found out yesterday i didn't get through to the final stage. :(

Asked for actual feedback as they didn't even specify...not helpful.
That's a bummer, sorry mate. I've had really bad experience asking for feedback, either no reply or an apology about a month later. Do be firm asking what held you back from the final stage, it's obvious you'll want to improve on it.

Heading over to day 2 of a week off work so I can finish a loft conversion. Carrying plaster board and holding it up to the ceiling is SO MUCH FUN.

Cheers - tis frustrating but i did say i wanted feedback so i could come back stronger if there was another vacancy (not in those exact words! :p)

What do you pay by the hour Lucky? I am around. :D

Dunno... More than I offered my brother in law who's too busy, and less than a contractor? :P If you can plaster you'd be very useful...

Sat, hopefully, my penultimate ACCA exam yesterday. Not getting my hopes up but it could have gone a lot worse.

Only one more left to do on Thursday. Majorly peed off though, they have closed my local exam centre (Chessington) and I have to slog to the Excel centre now :o

Good luck.

it’s about 5 years for me now since I did mine :)

Made a good start on the design of a CBT to reprogram the negative effects of my pulsatile tinnitus in the last hour. Unfortunately, it is starting to have positive effects before I have even written down the proof of effect tests. The irony of it - which arises from using one and the same mind as experimental subject and experimenter.

However, the (main) null hypothesis test has failed, which is good but I must make note of it. As I am principally designing this for myself I am pleased that I have been significantly able to meet the clients' needs. The remaining work is simply 2 further days of habituation practice aka: / conditioning / learning / paired association practice coupled with a small extra cognitive lock-in mechanism.

Owing to the pulsatility of the condition, a single paired-association type proved ineffective. 4 different concurrent paired-associations is proving efficacious.

Nb. The standard more-rapid aversive conditioning approach is contraindicated owing simply to the reinterprative valence complexity of the set of 4 pair-associations, and is avoided in the first instance to prevent learning loss from cognitive overloading.

Feel like i need something a lot more filling and unhealthy for dinner than the soup i've brought to work with me.

Now to just decide what is going to win!

You just took me back a couple years when I had my first son. He surprised us 3 months early whilst I was still fitting the new bathroom and kitchen (as well as finishing off the rest of the house), I was back & forth forth between him downstairs in NICU and my wife upstairs in recovery through the day then night time I'd bomb home and work through the night finishing the house then drive back to the hospital to kip in the carpark for 1 hour before doing the whole thing again. He was in there for 60 days so I managed to get most of it done before he finally came home.

I don't think I've recovered from that lack of sleep since!

If that’s not dedication I don’t know what is! :D

Soup in March? What’s wrong with you?

It's quick and easy to eat at my desk!

Trying to avoid keep eating sandwiches and i cba to make salads every day.

Hey don't judge. I had soup for dinner... :( mainly because I didn't get home from work until 8.40 and cba to cook lol

Also i'm using the proper term of dinner as midday meal as opposed to tea which is the evening meal :p

Don't start that one. It's almost as boring as the roll/bun/bap/barmcake/loaf/barm/shoe/ladder/squirrel debate.

... But to me dinner is whichever meal is the hot/main meal of the day. If you have that meal at midday, then that is dinner, and the evening meal is tea.

If you have it in the evening, then that is dinner, and the midday meal is lunch.

In this house we have breakfast, lunch, dinner Monday to Saturday, and breakfast, dinner, tea on Sunday. :p
