My neighbourhood Facebook group yesterday had a series of posts - in this order -
- Our dog has just got out the front door! If you see it please tell us.
- Our dog has been stolen! A man picked it up outside, seen on camera, and took it.
- Our dog has been found!
(Comment: Oh this looks like the dog my husband found and dropped off at the local cafe earlier as it looked lost)
- Here is some footage of Mr Nasty Dog Thief, boo hiss

We had similar recently. Our local lockdown group tends to be
Person 1 "Is such and such shop/restaurant back open now?"
(Next day)
Peraon 2 "Is (same shop/restaurant already asked about) back open now?"
Person 4 "Is the dump back open now?" Replies: screenshots from council website, no there was a fire it won't be open for a few months
3 days later
Person 5 "Is the dump back open now?" Replies: screenshots from council website, no there was a fire....
Or it's
"Omg just went in the shopping centre, no one was wearing a mask"
Followed by all the replies of "its a conspiracy, don't be a sheep, some people never learn, etc etc"
On our main town page they've stopped sharing all the posts about masks now lol

lol, on ours they keep making snide remarks but I'm not "in" so I don't really know what they're going on about but it's "if someone's got a problem speak to me" and then others commenting like "what's going on" "hope you're okay" "welcome to a village" etc etc

I can't think of anything worse than being in an area based group on Facebook. It will be full to bursting with absolute ****ing brain dead morons. And I can't help but speak up, so I would be villified by all the retards in no time.
It has its benefits, I actually quite enjoy it and have met some great people despite being completely detached from other properties and quite isolated, it's very nice.
I imagine yours is just full of people wondering why broken cars keep driving around

I'm semi curious to see if anyone has actually been moaning about my antics in my road though, parking ****boxes all over the place, leaking oil, making noise, etc. Plenty of curtain twitching no-lifes around here.
One was set up for lockdown randomly which people found useful. The other is more of a news group. It's usually just things like "uh oh helicopter is out, what's going on" or "accident on this road" etc
I just ignore the idiot ones lol
