I did goto the damn thing, talk to the bride and groom despite not really knowing them that well, and bring her pick and mix back....oh and drive some people back and forth to the hotel they stayed at, then drive myself home an hour...

Day one stuff here man, sort it out
 
I remember aged 10 going to Mallorca and got three bites on ankle - each one had a gap of 2-3 days. The last one swelled my ankle like it had lymphedema. Fortunately I had sandals with adjustable straps. I had the swollen foot on the last hole of strap, the other foot was on the second.

The first day back home, went to my GPs and prescribed some antibiotics. The swelling went down in 3 days and took the rest of the school holidays to heal. We flew out the first Monday of the school holidays.

Then in Rhodes, 7 years ago, I had no bites at all. Then got home and noticed bites around bottom of leg. These came from walking between airport terminal to shuttle bus to plane. There’s a lake by the entrance to the airport so the mozzies must hang out there. Think they examine the passengers about to board their plane home and bite anyone with no bites. My colleague had a similar situation with the bites!

Yeah went into the pharmacy to get antibiotics histamines for it at first (gf was trying to drag me to a&e) pharmacist took one look then started handing me betamethasone tablets and antibiotics.

Seems here in italy they can hand them out in emergencies without a doctor perscribing.

Cost 5 euro, think that's actually cheaper than benadryl

The antibiotics are given by chemists in Turkey as well. Mum had a nasty bite on leg, they gave her some antibiotics and some bite cream. Cost was about £3.50. The bite creams here are rubbish.
 
Just had our board meeting and happy (and surprised) to have got a 13% payrise on stop of the the 3.33% one I got in April and the 10% last year during Covid :)
 
Dropped girlfriend at the in-laws earlier where her workshop and office is. We're meant to move in with them this year after a couple of years planning/renovation.

Just found out they're planning to sell the place. That's plan A out of the window then and properly back to square one. Living in London is **** :(

Some random German dude just sent me €12.50 on PayPal for the “fun night”.
Considering you can’t buy even one hooker or blow for that, I sent it back to him.
 
Its friday night its warm and the crazies are out and about came back home to find some guy with a torch looking at the front door and the flat numbers he's been randomly buzzing peoples flats, nobody let him in. Thought he'd gone but half an later he's at it again. Its far too early in the evening for the drunks they're usually after midnight
