How odd. No idea what's causing that. Ran cinebench and CPUTIN temp stayed the same.

I've 2 top fans exhausting, I'll perhaps swap them to intake and see if that cooler air over the mobo makes a difference. (h100 died and using air cooler just now)

What does it show right after a cold boot when the computer has been off for a while?

I'll have a look tomorrow morning when I boot up after an overnight shut down.

Dammit I forgot to look after a cold boot. PC is on most of the day so I'll have to try it again tomorrow morning.

Ok left the PC off for 2 hours, turned it back on and the reading was in the high 80's? - This is with the top 2 corsair 120mm AF fans exhausting out the top (an additional AF 120mm Corsair fan in the rear as exhaust too)

Swapped the two top fans to be intakes so they are blowing cooler air over the mobo, VRM's, etc (same rear fan exhaust) and the readings are as follows...

To be fair I've only just noticed the temp spike in HW monitor. Didn't notice it when I had the AIO H100.

Is it something to be concerned about?

I ran Aida64 and all the temps were ok on it, including package temps.

I wonder if this is just an anomaly with the Rampage 4 board, 3930k and the HWMonitor

If you post on AIDA64 forum, they'll customise AIDA64 for your motherboard hardware sensors. They''ll tell you exactly what sensors are on your board.
