With afterimage though you are more likely to desensitise cones by colour (obviously ) and attempt vague detail by the difference in sensation than your cones actually picking up that detail. Why that castle one works far more easily than the OPs since you are effectively colouring the image rather than attempting to reconstruct it...
I thought I was looking at a 'witch' first but when I projected my eyes onto the white screen, it appears to be an attractive brunette. I wonder why the brain makes us see the hair as brown. Could it be because the hair appear as bright white in the blue image and the brain compensates for it by showing darker hair on the white screen? Hmmm
This could possibly explain the apparent 'ghost' sightings some people claim to experience.
That last one with the bloke really freaked me out.
Thought I was tripping out or something. Looked at pic for 15 secs, looked right and didn't realise but a fly was in the room and it appeared on screen (obviously landed there) whilst I was concentrating on Yellow dot.
