This is bugging me! What bug is this?

In the spare room there are a couple of these on the window sill. Cannot get a better picture than this unfortunately as it is extremely tiny! Does anyone know what it is and how I can get rid of them? - I remember seeing one a while back and threw it out the window, but now I have 2. :eek:

Hmm, I've had quite of a few of these in the bathroom/window sills too. Must be attracted to moisture?

Had these in our house, varied carpet beetle. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varied_carpet_beetle come from birds nest. This t time of year is when they all come out.

I found a massive nest of them on the cotton material under my bed, disgusting but getting rid of that cleared most of the problem. Ideally I need to get rid of the bird nets in the loft.

They don't seem to move, I have put the penny by one and a bit of paper by the other to see if later in the day they move. Could be that they go to the window sill to die. And they there could be more somewhere else in the house.

Man up lol, insects are the most successful creatures on earth, your house is absolutely teeming with insects, bugs and mites feed on you while you sleep, hell there are even microscopic organisms eating your food (google fails me, but look for bread mites).

Fee better?

Possibly, they live in birds nest, so that is how I have them. If you keep seeing more and seemingly all over the place (near windowsills) then yes, you most likely have a nest.
