Hi all

This PC is running Vista 64 bit and I have problems.

Sometimes when I load google mail or any website EVERYTHING will stop responding at the same time as I have to reboot it just to get it to work again..

It was a E6850 @ 3.7gig but now its at stock, I reduced it cos it was BSOD'ing.

Do you think I need to reinstall Windows or is it a hardware problem? dodgy RAM perhaps?

I have 6GB, mixture of OCZ Gold and Geil.

It nevers locks up its just that everything stops reponding, all I do is facebook and play songs on youtube!! surely this spec of PC can cope with that easily!!

Thanks for any help.

All the service packs? I would suggest re installing and if it still hangs then just get Windows 7 its a lot better

Its running Service Pack 1 but no updates are installed. I was thinking of getting 7, I like it. Vista uses too many resources IE RAM

Sorry bud, Im devonshire we have funny phrases!!

I can afford it no problem ;)

PSU is only a 460w akasa paxpower but the gfx is just a 7800gtx so its ok

Ive measured all rails with multimeter and they were spot on more or less so that is not the issue but I can see where your coming from.

I might run memtest sometime.

Its well weird, its been fine for hours after a reboot. I will run memtest86+ sometime when I have time. Thanks for the help guys,.
