this is how to flush a radiator.

Hmm...

I have never water cooled before Lazyman... do you think systems that are enclosed like the H-50 or 70 might have those same types of deposits inside?

@tyrt100 No t sure about the all-in-ones...but IMHO, why would someone use them when some highend air coolers will out perform them....just a thought, so if you're using one I mean no offense....

I quite like attaching the radiator directly to a hot water tap then walking off. I'm not sure how much heating the water costs, but I think I can do that a few times before a $60 filter becomes cheaper.

The method is reservoir/pump -> radiator -> filter -> reservoir/pump. The pump is an immersible one, the filter looks like it's intended for fish. He recommends attaching them together, then leaving it running for a while with deionised water in the system.

Cheers mate :)

Omg, he stole my idea!!!!

I had an idea of just connecting pump, res and rad. Running water through it, then emptying and and replacing water. Only difference is that he's got a filter, which would have been more efficient than my theoretical idea.

I flushed mine via the tap this time round, cold water only though, left it for half an hour. I still feel that when you want to fill the rad with hot water you get most benefit if you also shake the rad when the hot water is inside leaving some air insode also for agitation, and its much easier to do this by filling it and then blocking the ports with valves or some such. Leaving it connected to long tubes like this dude does makes it harder to shake. Just leaving it still, filter or no filter, is not going to shift as much muck. Simple is best as always.
