This is the best LCD for Standard Def'...!

Hi all,

I recently visited the local Panasonic shop - And I was amazed when I saw the picture on this 26" LCD TV.

...it is without a doubt - THE BEST picture quality I have ever seen on any LCD TV - And it was just showing normal FREEVIEW, with a normal Aerial.

Model was: TX-26LXD70

So if anyone wants a good 26" - This is the one!

Not the cheapest - But by far - The best for Standard Def' picture quality.

LCD's only suffer at 40+ inchs via normal SD displays really, they look fine below that.

My parents had a Samsung Bordeaux LE32R87BDX 32"LCD and this was not very good for SD signals...(I have given them my pioneer 436xde plasma to replace it)

You need to ask what kind of connection they have going in the shop. I played around with several sets in Comet the other day and freeview images were much, much better looking than the canned sky they were feeding all their sets. That is, it looked better in the shop than sky. But then it depends where inthe shop it is, the reception it is getting, the connection they have to their sky boxes etc, etc...

I confirmed - They were just using a normal aerial... But obviously it must have been running through an amplifier... as they're running so many TV's off it.

Sky stuff is quite compressed - hence, not always clear.
